4th Annual Administrative Fellowship Dinner
The purpose of this dinner is to arm graduate students who are MHA, MBA, MPH or MSW candidates with valuable information regarding obtaining a fellowship position and achieving success as an administrative fellow. Current and former fellows as well as fellowship preceptors lend perspective into what the role entails.
2019 is an election year at the NAHSE national and local Levels.
Nationally, the nomination process will start Spring 2019, and the election will take place during the national conference in Washington, DC. As information is released the NAHSE St. Louis Chapter will notify members, and post further details on the websitenh.
Locally, the nomination and selection process will take place Fall 2019. The local chapter elected roles that will be available are as follows:

Rick was elected chair of the Board of Directors of North County, Incorporated, a regional development association. He is the president of Christian Hospital and serves as a member of the local chapter’s senior advisory council. We look forward to his continued servant leadership, and expanded responsibilities in improving the community in North County, St. Louis.
NAHSE St. Louis Chapter sends a big congratulations to Traci Carter for receiving the Ellis Bonner scholarship for non-traditional students from NAHSE National. Traci is currently pursing her Master of Health Administration degree from Webster University. Outside of being an exceptional student, Traci works for Mercy as a Community Health Manager, and serves as a Membership Co-chair for our local chapter.
Chapter Parliamentarian Mikel Whitter was recently featured in the St. Louis American discussing his perspective on healing Black boys and men within the community. As the Re-Entry Community Linkages Program Manager for St. Louis Integrated Health Network, Mikel works to support minorities and other disadvantaged individuals transition from prison back into the community. Thank you Mikel for your advocacy and support for this marginalized group.
We would like to extend a big “congratulations” to our member Calencia Mitchell who was recently promoted to Manager, Portfolio Management - Access Strategy with BJC Healthcare’s Center for Clinical Excellence. Calencia has been a member of the local chapter for several years, previously serving as Chapter Secretary. We wish her good luck in her new role.
President of the NAHSE St. Louis Chapter, Brian Washington, has transitioned from Strategic Planning Associate with BJC Healthcare to Manager of Planning and Partnerships with Generate Health. We are excited to see him contribute to making great strides in the way of improving the health of mothers and infants in the St. Louis community.
